What is Polished Plaster?

A traditional Venetian plaster is made out of a lime base with marble dust, and was used in the Roman Empire to mimic natural stone surfaces in public places. A lot of the modern-day Venetian plasters can also contain a synthetic base which are used to create a range of different effects.

All plasters are handcrafted as each layer is carefully applied before the next. Each applicator adds their own personal touch to the plaster which is determined by their way of spreading the materials. A lot of plasters are highly customisable. Our Concrete Art plaster for example can be modified to have big and rough patterns or small and more spread out patterns. Every design is therefore uniquely created for each customer.
